Cool! When did you order it? If you ordered it anytime with-in the past month you probably won't see it for quite a while. I'd say September'ish. I've been waiting for my SXT Sport since May 1st and its still in D status where its been since June 1st.
Well thats the game Chrysler will play with you. They give you one date, that date comes and goes, then they give you another date and that date comes and goes. Its happened to many people both in this forum and in the other Caliber forum I participate in. Thats the reason why a lot of people have canceled their orders because nobody gets a straight answer and are continuously lied to. Mine supposedly has a scheduled build date of sometime this week yet its still in D status. According to my dealer, usually an order is in D1 status for 3 or 4 days before its going down the assembly line. So it sounds like this date will come and go and I'll have to wait for another BS date to come up. I ordered my Caliber on May 1st and I'm still waiting...
Since you ordered an R/T that date is probably correct as I don't think they're making R/T's right now, but instead, a ton of SXT's. They just finished making R/T's and I can tell because every dealer around here has R/T's in stock and a lot of people who ordered SXT's in Mar-May are now getting their Calibers made as long as they got an allocation.

Hi, kinda new to the forums here. Been reading them since we weren't getting any information from our salesman.
Ordered a 2007 Caliber on 4/27/06 in Belevidere, Illinois (that's right, I live about 30 miles from the plant where my new car is going to be made, this a good thing right?) and was told they'd been running 6-8 weeks.
Called the saleman after two weeks, just to check in. Was told there'd been "no movement" on the car.
Called again after two more weeks (4 weeks from order date). Was again told there'd been "no movement". I explain that we're not trying to hassle him but since we signed over my husband's vehicle to our son, we were trying to get 3 people to 3 jobs with 2 cars. He offers to sell us a model off the lot. Sorry, I want my car.
Call again two weeks later (6 weeks from order, if you are keeping track) and yet again get the "no movement" line. I thanked him as politely as I could while gritting my teeth, hung up and called Dodge Customer Service (1-800-992-1997). After some run around because I didn't have a VON, the CS rep called the dealership, got my VON and told me that my car was in "D" status.
Had my husband call at the 7 week mark. Went straight to Dodge CS because there seemed to be no point in calling the salesman. Still in "D" status. He was also told that our order was not actually sent until 5/1/06. (Perhaps the salesman should have mentioned this?)
My husband called again at 8 weeks (6/23/06), again to CS. This time the CS rep tells him that the screen is showing a "material incompatibility" and we need to call our salesman. He does and is told that the status is "BG" or past edits unavailable for scheduling". He is also told that the salesman has no way of finding out status beyond this. He calls back to Customer Service to double check the status and she transfers him to the sales manager at the dealership. The sales manager explains that our car was originally ordered under the 2006 model year because the 2007 program was not yet available. When Dodge changed over to the 2007 model year program, all the "2006" orders were changed over and the original orders were all showing "BG". He said our car had gone into "D" status "this week" (Huh?!!? We'd been told "D" status at the 6 week mark) and would move to D1 status next when we would get a scheduled build date.
I have called 2 more times and been told it was still sitting in "D" status.
Getting very frustrated with the waiting game.

I put a grand down on May 3rd for a RT. Just got a von number yesterday. Called DC customer service today and was told they had no info for me. No build date, no "D" status nothing. So now I've been waiting 8 weeks and only have a von number to show for it. I can relate to your frustration. I want to sell my Dakota but I can't go getting people all excited for it when I don't even see a build date in sight for my Caliber. Tempted to get my depsoit back and buy a Civic.
Yah I know the feeling..... But my salesman if fantastic..... I get the extended waranty and tags regestration plates so on so thats really cool saves me $ and could be worth the wait I just hope the Aug 8th delivary date is on the nose because I dont want to cancel my labor day trip back home to Michigan... I already had to cancel my 4th of July trip

I know its very frustrating waiting and when you order something you want it 2 months ago (I'm the same way), but this car happens to be a very hot seller for Dodge. Last month alone Dodge shipped out over 12,000 Calibers and are running at 100% capacity at the assembly plant and they're still getting behind on orders. So this is a very good thing for Dodge, but not a good thing for the customer who ordered one.
The Dodge Info Center doesn't always know the status of your car at every point in time. Thats just not possible. The dealers rarely ever know anything either and are only updated every once in a while. I ordered my Caliber SXT Sport on May 1st and it was in BX status until June 1st (had to wait for a dealer allocation) and then it went into D status where it currently sits as of July 5th. Everyone who's ordering one has to play the waiting game, some longer than others.
The thing thats kinda unfair is that you can order a Caliber in April such as what you did, and I can order one in May and mine may be built and shipped before yours is even scheduled to be built (which is probably whats going to happen in this situation). Its just the way manufacturing goes. Scheduled builds are based off what they're building at that time and availability of parts and accessories depending on how you configured your Caliber. Stick with it...you won't be disappointed. So many people went through the same things you currently are and when it finally was built and picked up, they were extremely glad they waited it out. The Caliber isn't approximately 35,000 orders behind for nothing.

Just an interesting little article that came out today from one of the local papers
