My airbag light and chime Keeps coming on. Anyone know what this is about?

I had the same problem with my passenger side airbag. Turns out there was a major problem with the airbag and they had to replace it. They told me that the airbag was failing and that they couldn't guarentee that it would work in an accident so I was advised by the dealership to not allow any passengers to ride in that seat until it was fixed. (It took 3 weeks to get the part in...Stay on top of your dealership to make sure they ordered it properly)

I have the same problem and my dealership is charging me for the fix. I called Dodge and asked if this is a trend or a possible recall but to my surprise they told me they have nothing in the record - it to be an issue.

Sounds like possible a bad clockspring in the steering column.
