I went and picked up my Caliber today! This thing is freakin' awesome! Definitely worth the wait for anyone who is still waiting. The motor seemed to have good power (2 Liter) and got 26.5 MPG on the way home which isn't bad for an engine with 3 miles on it. The MusicGate sounds amazing. Tons of bass and no distortion no matter how high you turn it up. Sirius is a nice feature although the lady on the phone to activate it wasn't very nice to me at all!

One thing I noticed about the daytime running lamps is that they don't turn on until you take it out of park which I thought was interesting. I had the rear windows tinted and it looks really good.

Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm glad so far that I got it.

I added the bright pedal kit, door entry guards, Caliber slushmats, tinted the rear windows, and tomorrow after I wash it I'll install the splash guards. Other than that, I'm the kind of person who just likes to leave the vehicle as is and won't be moding it beyond that. No body kits, funky looking wheels, etc...

Where the Tinted rear windows factory fitted?

Here are some pics I took earlier. They're not that good of quality, but it will give you the idea. I'll post better photos when its nice outside and I have it all shined up.

No, the windows weren't tinted from the factory. My salesman has a friend who runs a bodyshop and does window tinting. He said it was a real pain in the *** to tint the windows too. I guess the door panels don't come off and go back on very easily.

Its actually illegal in NYS to have the Caliber windows tinted either from someone else or from the factory because its registered with NYS as a sedan. If it were registered as an SUV like the Compass is, then you could have the rear windows deep tinted without it being illegal. So my rear windows actually are illegal in NYS, but it looks enough like an SUV that it won't be a problem. As long as you don't tint the drivers side front window, nobody will bother you. This is the same in a lot of states.

The orange looks different depending on the light shining on it. Sometimes it looks plain orange, sometimes it looks reddish orange, and other times it looks brownish orange. Most of the time it looks orange or reddish orange.
