Default cabin materials quality

hi
new to the forum. i tested 2L sxt cvt today in israel. i liked the ride, performence, cvt.
i got the impresion that the cabin materials are not of high quality but more like cheap plastics and fabrics that will not last long.
my current car is VW passat and fit and finish is superb.
can you share opinions about that?
thank you

The interior is no different than most any other American car. Should hold up fine.

another attribute to the cheap cabin look is the lack of clima-control ,but rather the use of old fasion aircondition
with manual-mechanical operation. also the push buttons for a/c and circ. are small and oddly located.
digital climacontrol can be found in every cheap korean car, and in european cars dual-zone climacontrol is almost standard.

Real men roll down the windows
And I wouldn't give u 2 cents for a Hyundai.
If you want climate control, buy a 300C.

real men in ISRAEL simply push "auto" in climate control, since we have 75% humidity year round and temps. of 35c (arround 110f i guess).
i do like the caliber and consider purchasing one but the lack of climate control is a minus in my book. as i said, much cheaper cars offer it as standard
and you wouldnt find me in HYUNDAI, thank you

Dude, your passat starts at $23,000 US. The Caliber SXT starts at $16,000. I wonder why your VW has a plusher interior. A plush interior isn't worth 7 grand in my book.

a caliber sxt cvt cost in israel around 36,000$. i guess it is not cheap in your book also!
as a fact the caliber is the most expensive car in its segment in israel and i mean family sedan and not compact!
most compact cars cost 10,000$ less.
for the same price you get a honda accord 2L AUTO, MAZDA 6 2.3L, VW JETTA 2L AUTO
cars like ford focus ,mazda3,honda civic etc considerd smaller class and are sold about 5000-10000$ less!
so you can imagine i must be caliber frick even consider buying one!
and you can understand my dissapointment from the cabin quality considering it cost 36,000$

The interior may look cheap but I have found it quite durable and easy to clean.

The car is what it is, you buy one because you want one because you like it... From what you have written here I am not convinced that you would be really happy with a Caliber if you had one... ??
