When does the governor work?
Check out all the Dakota/RAM Gen 1-2-3/Charger/Magie sections, programmers are used on the majority of them.
Some dealers may try to create issues with them but no it doesn't void the warranty unless they prove the device caused the issue your having.
<edit> Normally one would return the car to stock prior to taking it to a dealer so they never know.

I see that Jet has a Power Control Unit for the Caliber.

Jet's got a big cellar LOL. I did a double take when I first saw the box, it's different but I've seen some like it in the past. I bet it works, if'n it adds another 10 HP I don't care what it looks like
I took my caliber too 200km/h once... scary!!!!! It does have a governer tho. Some dumb *** in a civic kept pushin me cutting me off, and well almost running me off the road. Next stop light i raced him and showed the little teenage punk who was boss, the 1.8 L 5 speed still has some ***** but is gutless like most dodge products. I should have kept my 05 neon. It is built to race but doesnt have the guts to back it up, corners well and can drift. Replace tires often.
haha no, you have a rev limiter and a speed limiter, if you over rev you will hear the engine bounce rpms, thats the rev limiter and when you hit the speed limiter you simply cannot go any faster, ive hit it in my ford focus at 115 here in the us and i just couldnt go any faster.
I went 160kmh once no prob without going to red zone rpm.
I had a Range Rover flashing me from behind, instead I accelerated to "make" room for him
He was glued on my back no prob (v6).
But it was scary.
As a former aerobatic pilot I'm used to high speed, anticipation, processing info very fast...
From 100kmh up I almost feel my brain change status into pilot mode.. And I realize why I was a bit scared ... in aviation usually you have room to maneuver (not too crowded as a road) and moreover, EVERYBODY knows what you will do next and vice versa via radio comm.
It is like tetris... there is a point where the game is so fast that the brain stals
On a motorway the speed is so high and the clearance to maneuver is so low that is almost impossible to react (exept verry far away), and usualy I just pray(lol) that nothing hapens too close to me to react.
Those speed limits are there with a purpose.
That's why I HATE the morons that change direction without signaling their intention first.
In thats why I signal always... so everybody knows my next move and dont ram me.
