Dodge Caravan 2000 3.3 liter

The engine light came on yesterday.

I did the code thing and got error code 23 55

23 stands for incomming air sensor may be bad

I found out that my van does not have this and could be the mapping sensor or something else thast is making this code.

any help would be greatly apperciated

 

WOW I have the same vehicle , how did you go about getting the code ?

 

Hold the trip and reset buttons at the same time. Turn the key forward. Do not crank. Hold buttons for 5 seconds. Then let go and hit the trip button one more time. It will do the test.

I had flushed out the radiator and I think that it had tripped the code. I took it by an Advance Auto and had them run the test on it. For free. The man said he read no error and erased the engine light for me. Van runs fine. Engine light has not came back on.

 

Thanks for the info, very cool. Mine ended up being the rear brake light switch. Autozone read the code free, but I will save the trip next time thanks for your info

 

The 23 is a DTC HEX code maybe P0500 which is no speed signal. Find someone with a scanner or a DRB3 and get the P code.
