I have a 97 caravan with the 4 speed tranny. Last week it began shifting into Drive fairly hard and it will not shift up from 1st (or possibly 2nd, whichever it is starting in when placed in drive) and occasionally it stalls the engine when shifting from Park or Neutral into Drive (sometimes I must carry a little power). Is this known as limp mode? Is this an indication of a bad Shift Solenoid. I haven't been home to put my OBD scanner on it, is there a specific code that will appear if it is the solenoid. Any info would be greatly appreciated...
