Default Ok, so this is weird

Ok guys, get your thinking caps on for me again lol. Remember my belt that was squealing? Well, it jumped off finally a couple days ago, and was pretty worn, so I replaced it. Ever since then (never happened before that) when I make a hard left turn while braking, like pulling into my driveway, or a parking space at Wally World, I get a very quick chime. It dings 4 times in under 2 seconds. No warning lights come on. No CEL. I've even begun to anticipate it, and watch for warning lights, or something, to blink. Nothing. It's only when turning left sharply while braking. I've looked for worn wires, bad grounds, etc... Any ideas?

What sliding door switches? Where would they be? I don't have the electric doors. My Cvan is a 97 3.0.

The door ajar switches. Sometime the door ajar switch will cause the chime to go off, No lites or door ajar lite.

while you're at it check the alignment and stop mechanism on the doors for extra wear. My extremely well used back hatch started doing what your sliders probably are and it was the the rubber bumpers on the switches had worn enough that they would cause the switch to activate when I hit bumps. I think mastertech is correct in where to look for your problem

We had a similar deal on our '99 - it was the drivers door switch.

Ok, the door ajar switches would make sense, I've had problems with them dinging in the rain. I never did track down the short there, I'll have to try harder I guess. Thank's y'all.
