Hi.........New here, but have a big problem. The wifes van keeps getting stranded. What happens is , it starts in the morning and after being driven for several miles and shut off, it doesnt turn over. The wierd thing is that the starter "Trigger" wire(yellow) on the selonoid. If i take it off and check for power, my multimeter shows power(sometimes) but very slowly goes up to 12.6v.(When the keyswitch is turned to start) Then if i plug it back in sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. There seams to be an intermittent power to the trigger wire and i can't figure out why. At first i thought it was the ignition switch, so i changed that and it didn't help. Could this be the PCM giving me this problem or another control module? Everytime i don't have power to the Yellow wire, the fuel pump also doesn't have power. Any help would be appreciated. Is there any way to check to see if the PCM is at fault, or something else? Any sugestions?

I'm not sure of where you live, but if you can get your wife's van to an O'Reilly, Autozone, or some such place like that, you should be able to hook it up to a computer to run a diagnostic. I believe this would pull up any faults, including if there is one with the PCM. I am no expert, but I do believe that this might help you solve your problem. If you take your van to a shop, they will charge you anywhere from $50 on up to run a diagnostic.

I hope you can figure this out.

 

Could have a low battery or battery cable, Or maybe the van isn't charging.

Replaced with new Batt.(cause i had one) Still Nothing.
I have a OBD II scan tool and i cant get any codes. Computer Fried???
