This bell/chime is driving me nuts. My rear gate open light is coming on all the time while driving and the gate is closed. I tried cleaning and lube but it keeps chiming away.
Van is a 93 grand caravan loaded. Any help would appreciated. It's blowin and snowin so trouble shooting is low priority and was hoping someone could nail it down for me. Thanks

 

Have you try to adust the striker? Or the latch assy is shorting at times. 1993 does have a recall for the latch assy and you may want to ck into it.

 

I did try adjusting the striker to the point of road noise. No luck. I'l check into the recall. Thanks
