RE: ScanGauge 2
Scan Guage 2 should work. This attachment is from SG website.
<<The ScanGauge requires the vehicle to be either OBDII or EOBD compatible. In the US and Canada, cars and light trucks were required to be OBDII compatible starting in 1996. In Europe, EOBD was phased in between 2002 and 2004. Other parts of the world have required one of them starting in various years.>>
SG2 seems to need fine tuning to get it dead accurate.
But the instant readout is the same as the trip computer option on your van.
If you have the center console above you. You can get a one on ebay or a scrap yard.
I considered SG2, But haven't decided to go for the money yet.
Mileage has been discussed many times here and if you search, you can find good tips.
The hypermiler site, Cleanmpg.com has some great info on using SG2.
My apology to dodgeforum for plugging another forum.
Hope it helps.
