What is the best metod to make adjustments onthe throttle valve for a new transmission. I have the '96 3.0 driving butI have to give too much throttlebefore i shifts and it wants to kick down too early.

I have a throttle arm that connects the valve throttle with the transmission throttle lever.

 

Have someone push the throttle down to the floor and then loosen the 1/2 or 13 mm bolt and make your adjustments. This is abase way of an adjustment. Then make the final adjustment on a road test.
