Test a Mygig in the garage

Hi i have bought a used Mygig stereo and a dont have acar to putt it in yet ,i whant to test to se if its working ,can atest that from a 12v battery that a have in the garage , i knowall the pinns on the Mygig and know that a most have 12+ on one pin and ground on another and a know wich , will it work if a just use the battery as the suplier or must the canbus pins also have voltage and ground on them ???
I have tried and the only think that work is that a can motor the sreen so a can putt in a cd nothin eles the screen is black ???

Find a car that has a mygig system to ck, or you could blow the stereo up by testing it on the bench.

But it most bee some whay to test it ,a ordinary stereo needs +12v and ground ,whats difrent with the mygig ??

The mygig is like having a PC. Its just not a radio.
