hello All
Can anyone tell me what other years will interchange with my 99 voyager ...i cant find any 99 at the moment but i did find a 2000 caravan and 97 caravan with the same engine im just not sure whihc one of these is a better choice..
will 00 interchange directly or do i need to swap parts around? ...any help would be really appreciated

Perhaps talking to a dealer service advisor?

 

They go by the vin # and get a part number and thats it as far as interchange they are unable to tell me ....Called few junk yards some say 96-02 will work just fine some say 99 only and others 99-02 ..so at this point im looking for an answer from someone who has worked on one of these trannies and actually done a swap or knows if in fact which ones interchange and which do not or what needs to be changed out in order to use a newer or an older tranny...

96-2000 will all work with the possibility of a couple of electrical plug differences. At which point if there are any differences, simply switch electrical component (sensors most likely) with the old one or a new sensor of the correct year and you'll be fine.

 

1997 thru 2002 will work, but you need to look at the TRS sensor ( transmission range sensor ) the early 41te trans have round pin connector and the newer trans has flat pins. So you need to get a jumper harness, Also one last detail match the torque converter to the flex before installing the transmission. Because you may need an updated flex plate too.
