I have a 1993 Dodge Caravan that the transmission is out on. It is a 3 speed auto. I also have a 1994 Caravan that the motor is bad, but it has a good transmission, 4 speed auto. Can I put the transmission out of the 94 into the 93? What do I need to look for in doing this conversion?

 

What size motors are in both vans? The 93 van may have a 3.0 and 94 3.3. They will not fit, If the 94 has a 3.0 you will need to so major up grades. You'll need to replace all wire harness and controllers.

 

Both have the 3 liter engine. Can I pull the wiring harness and controllers from the 1994?

 

Why not take the motor out of the 93 put in the 94 van? Since they are both the same.

 

I may have to do that, but I would prefer to put the transmission in the 93. It is in better shape in other ways.(Body, Interior, etc.)
