I have an '04 Caravan SXT with 105,000 miles. Lately, it has begun to sputter and stall after refueling. I refuel at 1/4 tank usually and when I pull off from the pump, the van tries to die. If I put it in neutral and rev the engine a little, the sputtering stops and it drives fine until the next refueling. The last time I refueled, I was running close to empty, so not only did it sputter and stall when I left the pump, it tried doing it for a minute or so on the highway, then it cleared up and no further problems. What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

 

Are you using the same octane rating each fill-up?

 

You may want to ck for any stored codes, and have the evap canster ck too. it could be soak with fuel. Or maybe its trying to vapor lock on you.
