Hello everyone, I have a 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan, the passenger side door the power door lock acuator makes the noise but the **** doesn't go up and down nor is it locking or unlocking. Can it be taken apart and fixed? Or do you think replaced? Also are there any other dodge vehicles that use the same door locking device that could be subsituded? It seems to be a complete unit with the motor and locking pin. Thank-you for any help, Linc

 

the lock motor is part of the latch replace the whole thing

Thank-you, There are some on ebay for rams, dakota's, ect, SO I was wondering if any of those would work. None for the caravans right now, guess I'll have to wait, or check the junk yard. Thanks again, Linc

 

Sliding door actuators are only on T/C and caravans, dakota or rams will not work.

 

Well that answer's that, Thank-you. Now last night I put gas in the van and the low gas warning light comes on and it chimes every once in a while driving...what the heck??
