Default Pinging or "rattling" while accelerating

Have a 2006 Dodge Caravan with perhaps 50,000 miles. Lately upon accelerating I have been getting back pinging or "rattling". The fuel mileage has dropped as well. I figured it to be bad gas and went to a different filling station and still have the same issue. Wondering if it might be something other than bad gas. No engine lights have come on - just the pinging. It happens even under basic acceleration as well.

Does anyone have any clues of how I might address?

Thanks

TSB 18-026-06 is for the T/C and Caravan spark knock, Its a flash update on the PCM.

Does that flash back off the timing and kill economy like similar "fixes"?

I would try running some combustion chamber cleaner through the engine or possibly having the fuel injectors power flushed first and see if that alleviates the problem.

You can try higher price gas. And the flash may retard the timing, But the timing can not be adjusted because the van has coil packs, not dist.
