NEED HELP FAST!!!!! 90 Grand Caravan LE
Ok, working for Dodge has taught me many things, but I'm stumped on this. Here goes...
1990 Grand Caravan LE
3.3LV6
41TE (4spd tranny)
My problem.........Damn thing wont run cor long periods of time.
Fault codes found... Since I don't have access to a DRB, I did the fault code through the "SEFL DIAGNOSTICS" with the ignition
Codes found...
12 = # of key-ons since last faults were erased.......nothing to worry about
24 = TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) voltage low or high
55 =Completion of fault codedisplay on the check engine light
What I have already done...
I have replaced the TPS (throttle position sensor) with new part
I have replaced the CRS (Cam Reference / Position Sensor) with new part
I have replaced the CPS (Crankshaft Position / reference sensor) with new part
I have disconnected the negative battery cable for 1 minute to erase the past codes. Reconnected the battery and started the van.
Engine will idle for approx 3-5 minutes and shut down. I re-ran the diag. procedure and came up with the same codes. If I imeadiately (sp) restart the engine, it'll run for a few seconds and shut off. I know that this is symptoms of the cam and or crank sensors (why I replaced on at a time), but no good at this point.
If someone could respond to this very soon I would appreciate it. I have to get the trans rebuilt in a week or so, and right now I can't get it out of the drive way. Daytona Spring Break Nationasl are the first week in April so It's really crucial for me to get all this done ASAP!!!

RE: NEED HELP FAST!!!!! 90 Grand Caravan LE
If all ou need is the instrument cluster, hit up a few scrap (junk) yards. I found that I may need another SBEC (computer) for my van.
Lucky for me though, my wifes 90 Grnd Voyager is the same van in cloak. I'm swapping out the puters just to see if it corrects my problem!
