Default Still looking for answers on transmission

A while back I posted a question about my 2004 2.4 liter Caravan. When I am driving slowly, 10-15 MPH, still in 1st gear, and let OFF the gas I feel an "engagement" of something that slows the van down, as if it were a manual transmission. When I re-accelerate, it "grabs and engages" again. This all takes place in 1st, and sometimes in 2nd at speeds 20 MPH and slower. Does everyone understand what I mean? It seems easier thought of than written out. If I'm right, there should be NO activity or thudding, grabbing of anykind when the gas is let at 10 MPH. It should be a smooth cycling down of RPM's. Right? I have Googled this all day, and came up empty. Closest thing I got was a hard 2 to 1 downshift, and thats not what I'm, talking about. It shifts great, couldn't ask for a better shift.

Okay.I need to know if you have a ck engine lite on and codes if you have them. I also need to the CVI readings too. ( Clutch Volumn Index)... There maybe a flash if your 2/4 cvi reads zero.

I'll read the codes when my wife gets home. I'm Not sure what CVI is and how to check, but I'll find out. Thanks so much for taking interest in my problem! Big help....

I got for codes: po442, po456, p0522. The 2/4 thing you mentioned I dont know how to get that out of the van odometer. It does this sympton I mentioned in 1st gear at 5mph or as high as 18-20 mph. It will do it even if I try really hard to hit the gas gently. I can let off slowly, and get that "thud" then a wind down. Its irritating. Broken mounts?

You'll need a scanner. DRB3 would be best to ck the transmission. I don't know if the aftermarket scanner would work.

We're poor, I cant buy a scanner. I'll have to pay the transmission shop $80.00 to check it.

If you know someone at the dealer, they could ck the tcm for codes. and not charge you for cking it.
