Default Air Bag Test

Merry Christmas everybody, I'm hoping somebody can help. I just finished rebuilding a 02 Grand Caravan. A front end collision deployed both bags. I replaced front sensor, both bags and the controller . I would like to test the system before I plug the controller in. It would ruin my day if the bags went again. Can anyone help with a test. Thanks

We had air bag simulators to plug in at the dealer.
Your probably safe but I would definitely replace the clock spring under the driver air bag.
That's automatic whenever I replace air bags.

If you want you can power up the system with the bags disconnected and the only codes should be driver and passenger Squib faults?

Does you van also have pretensioners in the seat belt buckles? Those usually have to be replaced too when the bags blow.

Default Thanks for the info

I followed your advise and replaced the clock spring as well. I checked for codes . I found a 1684 and 1495. I understand that 1684 does not indicate a problem. I could not find any reference to the 1495 code. Any help would be appreciates, Lew
