minivans-- What year trans will swap?
Hi.
I hope I'm not asking too much here but here goes..
Does any one have a list (or know off the top of their head) what year transmissions will swap from van to van.
I specifically mean the 3.3L / 4 speed auto trans as these were the most common.
I'm looking at buying a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager with a 3.3 and a bad trans.
I swapped out a rebuilt trans a year ago in a 96 T&C and was able to successfully do the job. I'm not a trans guy by any means so I would like to know the trans will bolt/wire right up without modifications.
I thought I heard someone say before that the 98 4 speed was unique to that year(?) I can't afford to buy more than one trans or go thru the effort more than once.
Enough babbling.. What year transmissions will swap into a 99 3.3L ?
Thanks!

1998 had an updated flex plate, because the way the torque converter was bolted up. Two things to look for when swapping box's, one flex to torque converter and 2ed pin connection for the TRS. Some transmission may need a jumper harness to make the right connection.
