Hello,
The A/C rarely works in our 96 Caravan.. It worked when I tried to diagnose the problem a couple times, but when my wife had it out during the hot daytime, it didn't work again and now it's quit completely. I can get it to work by grounding the dark green wire (pin3) of the HVAC control which is the A/C switch control signal going to the Powertrain control module which then activates the A/C cluch relay and energizes the clutch.. so I feel the problem is within the HVAC control panel.
I ran the diagnostics on the panel and after a couple minutes, the rear wiper LED flashes once, and then the intermittent rear wiper LED flashes 6 times, and then this pattern repeats, which I believe means a shorted Evaporator fin sensor.
Can someone tell me where the sensor is located and how to replace it? Any links and pictures would be a great help.
Thanks,
