Front Parking Break Cable Problem

I've only done one of these at the shop I work at, if memory serves me correctly the reason your cable may be coming up short is the clock spring inside the pedal assembly may have become unwound, when the cable broke like I said I dont recall how to rewind it but I will look in to it for you, once its wound you have to put a screwdriver or punch in the hole on the plate the spring its attached to to prevent it from releasing before you attach the cable.

Thank you. I would appreciate that greatly. I managed to get the cable connected, but it still will not reset the tension on the cable, and thus, I still can't set the parking brake.
