Default Different left turn signal prob

Our 2000 Grand Caravan FWD has a moody left turn signal. Most of the time it does not work, but maybe at the next stop light, it may work and so on. Right side is fine. Cruise and hazards work normal, no airbag light or anything. Should I try a different switch or do you think maybe a "clock spring"? A lot of good help on the diesel forum, hopefully someone here can bail me out.

probably the flasher. If you look down by the brake pedal there is a fuse box. Above the row of fuses there is a row of relays. One relay is much taller than the rest. that is the flasher. Try and hit it when the signal won't flash and see if they start working.

We fixed the problem.. It was actually a bad lens assembly. The contacts to ground the assembly were worn and not making good contacts. Put a used one in and now no problems.

Might sound dumb but it has been a while since we had this, I remember ordering a whole tail light assemby,(housing only) from the junkyard and put it in. I think sometimes it worked when we would slap the tail light, that is why I changed it. I think it was only $20.

AH HA. Well guess what, my diesel truck didn't have all 4 turn signals for 2 years and after trying everything the guy at the shop asked me if I tried the flasher. That's all it was for my truck, but the van on the other hand still required the tail light assembly. Glad you got it fixed, small price to avoid getting rear ended.
