Talking Low Oil Engine Light

Hi there,
Today low engine light came on with chime alarm.
It was sorta flickering and chime was going on and off.
I notice if I make turn or van dip foward the light get turn off so is chime.
I immediately pulled over check the oil level via dip stick. It was 1/3 quad low to be Full.
I add a quart of oil, no difference. I drive home and parked it (3 km)
Any idea what is going on ?
Specs
Dodge Carvan SE 2FWD
Engine 3.8 V6

You have an oil pressure problem. This will need someone with tools and knowledge to diagnose in person. Solving this via the internet is impossible unless you have an oil pressure gauge at your disposal. And, when is the last time you changed the oil and filter?

Guilty as charged, I do have Oil Filter and Oil to change it.
I guess I better change that

Why just throw a part hoping that solves the problem? I would verify the actual oil pressure before I spent a penny on it. And you also will need a special socket to remove the sending unit. It's nearly impossible to get them out without using the right tool

I do not feel like driving it like that. If I towe the van it is lot more then $15, so I am going play the gamble. I do not have a guage to plug it in and find out the actual pressure.
Now I jus found I need a big or specail socket or big enough wrench.
Would't you think I am taking safe and in expensive route ?
Insted of taking to a shop and ready to shell out few hundred bucks ?

Oil change absolutely, sensor totally useless unless you know it needs to be replaced. I wouldn't spend $15 for a part unless I knew forsure it needed it. Besides if it is just the pressure sensor, why would you need to tow it? A bad sensor has no effect on engine running or causing it to need to be towed. So what if you swap it and the light still flickers? You just wasted $$$. If it it fixes it, then there was NO problem with the engine. you won't be able to get in there with a 'big' wrench. not enough room to swing it for loosening the sensor. Oh and you can buy a mechanical oil pressure gage for under $30 then you can really see what the true pressure is of your engine.

Yes if it is just a pressure switch, I can drive aroud to shop. Since I do not know if that is the case, so I place $15 dollor gamble
For $45 I can get a guage too; and I will gain a tool.
However I just wanted to go cheap so I played $15 dollor gamble.
If I drive down to a mechanic shop I have to pay for mechanic time and take a chance of driving which can ruin the engine. If I towe it would mechanic's time and Towe fee. So $15 does not appears that bad ?

Since the light goes out when making left turns I figure it's going to be an oil level problem.
Since the light will go out I say the sending unit is good.

I'd do an oil change with filter and see what happens.
