Default 96 caravan 3.0L..p0403 code.

Hello all i got a 96 caravan with a 3.0L. I was heading out to my families in the north, driving through -33c to -40c weather when out of no where my engine light comes on. so when i got home i scanned it and it gave me code P0403. Now i was told to replace the EGR valve to correct this problem so i did and its still there i reset the engine light and it comes back as soon as u drive for like 5 seconds. What could it be? A fuse? A faulty EGR circut?(The little black thing that hooks up to the EGR valve) I checked the wiring from the EGR Circut thingger to the main harness n its all good...is there a fuse sumwhere cuz i coudnt find one for the EGR or anything. HAAAALP!!!! XMAS is almost here n i want it fixed for my travel!

It's the black vacuum transducer that has manifold vacuum on one side, goes to the egr valve, 3rd hose senses exhaust back pressure and has an electrical plug. This is 99% of egr related codes. I've never yet seen a bad EGR valve on these vans or LH cars. I did have one that was not properly situated and moisture collected and froze causing this same code. Even if you have this code it's no BFD, it won't affect driveability

You could have carbon build up in the EGR tube as well, cause the EGR code too. But in most cases as 92dak5.24x4 had said the transducer has been a problem on these vans.
