AC / Heater Control Panel (NO Heat)
No heat. Here's what's happening.
1. Sometimes the blower will work and sometimes not.
2. For the most part the heater is not working. Occasionally it will work but mostly not.
Could it be a resistor problem, control unit issue or heating element? I've seen a tech post on how to replace the resistor but how do you replace a control unit (the switches and *****) or a heating element?
Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks the coolant suggestion was an inexpensive fix. I also replaced the resistor blower motor for good measure.
Now, I have discovered where my coolant leak is coming from. The lower radiator hose is connected to a metal tube, which is connected a metal pump that wasn't identified in my Haynes book. The leak is happening where the metal tube inserts into the pump (if that is what it is). What do I need to do to stop the leak?
Thanks Again,
Heath

After further reading I discovered that the lower radiator hose connects to the water inlet pipe, which goes to the water pump. The Haynes book states that if a failure occurs at the pump seal, coolant will leak from the weep holes on the water pump.
It seems to be leaking where the inlet pipe goes into the pump. Do I need to replace the water pump or just replace the water inlet pipe?
