3.3L Runs rough at idle and starts dropping out if you rev engine higher. I don't have all the cool tools listed in the Diagnostic Procedures for Code P2302. So, I changed the plugs, ignition wires (one so corroded it broke at the boot), and ignition coil. Nothing changed, same poor running condition. Erased code and same one re-appeared after starting it up. Just not sure if I should venture out and buy a PCM from ebay or admit defeat and hire someone to troubleshoot. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated..

Ck the wire harness around the intake manifold for any wires melted. You may have an open wire. And you may need to take it to a shop.

 

You were right. Took it to the dealership. They found burnt wires and said the computer needed to be replaced as well.
