Ck the ouil level first,If that is okay. Then you can either hook up pressure gauge and ck the oil pressure or just replace the oil pressure sending switch.

The oil pressure switch can be found either next or above the oil filter.

Sounds like the engine RPM is low or lower than normal when the light flashes?

How many miles on the engine? How many miles on the oil and filter? What type and weight of oil is in the crankcase? Is it a name brand oil?

Hopefully it is an electrical issue (switch, etc.) and not a mechanical issue such as oil pump pressure relieve valve problem, oil pump problem or excessive oil passage clearance (bearings?) problem.

if the switch is good and a direct reading, known good mechanical gauge confirms low pressure at idle and less than desired at off idle speeds, a "cheap fix" would be put fresh oil and filter on and re-check. If new oil and filter doesn't help, you might think about a thicker weight/higher viscosity oil
