I have a 2000 Dodge Caravan 3.0L V6. Today I started the van anbd the engine light came on, in idle and on acceleration the van runs like garbage. After a few minutes the battery light comes on, it continues to run like that with those sensors going off. I haven't run it long enough to figure out what will happen, so I was just wondering if anyone had any idea's on what these signs mean, so hopefully I will be able to make the repairs quick time.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

first seen if you can post the codes for the ck engine lite. You may have a misfire code. ck the fan belt, this could cause the battrey not to charge if its missing.
