Unhappy AC clutch burned out; What are my options?

My 1998 Grand Caravan Sport AC compressor pulley/clutch bearings are burned out. What are my options?

Welcome to DF
Get a price on a reman compressor or a used one. And replace it. But you may also havd debris in the system too.

Thanks for your reply. I have a ton of questions.

My plan is to replace the compressor, the dryer, the expansion valve myself and then have a service place flush and charge up the system.

1- Is this a good plan?

2- Should I also replace the condenser and hose?

3- I plan to put in an inline filter. Good idea?

4- I see that there are various brands of compressors, new and rebuilt. Should I go for new or rebuilt? Which brand would be the best choice? (SPECTRA PREMIUM (new), FOUR SEASONS (new), FOUR SEASONS remanufactured, Denso (new), ACDELCO)

5- The van has AC (Grand Caravan Sport) in the rear. Is there a expansion valve there too that has to be replaced?

6- I see the expansion valve is on mounted on the firewall. The intake manifold and wiper housing make it difficult even to see it. How do I get in there to it to replace it?

7- Is there any way to get a (free pdf) copy of the service manual for these repairs?

Any help with these and any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Its a good plan. The filter in the system is also known as an H-valve.
