Default 2005 power steering rack

I know I'm missing something simple.
My friend's 2005 Grand Caravan has a fist sized hole in one of the rubber boots on the power steering rack.
So, I did the nice thing & agreed to replace it for him.
Problem is, I cannot for the life of me see how to even get a wrench at the bottom-most power steering lines where it connects to the rack.
Once that's out, there's the one nut/bolt combo under it left, but I assume with the hoses disconnected, I'll actually be able to reach the nut.

Any tips/tricks for this? I've read every thing I can find, and the most I can find is that it seems to be agreed that it's a pain to do...

Thanks!

Welcome to DF
I use a 18 mm crowsfoot and a short 18 mm open end wrench.

I just use an 18mm wrench. You do have the vapor canister and the bracket for it removed, correct?

Thanks for the welcome! Seeing as how every one in my family's decided to go Dodge Caravan, I've got a feeling I'll be sticking around

I guess the 'short' part is the key; My 18mm is just too darn long. Gotta hunt down something stubby, I guess.

Oh - and yes, I did pull off the vapor canister & bracket.
