Default '97 grand carvan rotor/brake question

hi,

i just changed the front brake pads on a '97 GC, but when doing it, the rotors would just move around loosely. is that normal? does the rotor tighten down when the brake assembly is put together? her car was making a noise afterthe brakes went in, like the wheel bearing would be bad.

any help would be great.

The wheels are what keep the rotor's tight on the hub. Did you have the noise before the brake pads? And before i forget, Welcome to DF.

hi, thanks, and no, the noise wasn't that bad. it sounds (it's not my car) like wheel bearings, or a bad spindle. could it just be the new pads wearing in a little?

It maybe the axle/hub bearing. Not the brake pads.
