Today, I tried using the a/c on my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT with the 3.8 litre engine. The a/c was not blowing out cold air. When I got home, I did some research and I noticed that my a/c fan is not engaging when the a/c is turned on. What are the likely reasons why this is the case?

You could be just low on freon. Try having the system service.

 

thanks for the quick reply. so if the system is low on freon, the fan doesn't engage?

 

The fan will still come on weather the a/c is low or not. This so the engine will not overheat.
