Well... I went to a parts shop and they don't show a IAT for a '98 Grand caravan. I'm not sure what to think of this.

Anyone got any ideas why it would be hard to start? It spins ok but doesn't fire for about 10 seconds. Appears to run fine after it starts.

they don't have an IAT that is correct the best place to start is to get a real scanner and look at what the computer is seeing for data information. and look at the P codes not the generic 2 digit codes

the intake air temp sensor reads the outside air temp and is usually on the flexible rubber hose going from air filter to throttle

brett, show us? post a picture or link of a van with iat. I also cant find an IAT on 96-2000 van with 3.3/3.8. GM commonly puts iat in the intake air hose but these vans don't have one that i can find, maybe you could find it and post cuz me and the other guys aint seeing one.

I've also seen pictures of the IAT mounted between the air filter and the throttle body on the rubber intake, but there's not one on the '98. It may have been on the '96, '97 but it's not on the '98.

you've never seen one in the air cleaner hose on any caravan until 01+.

thats a great picture of the 2.4 engine but doesn't do much good for the 3.3/3.8 that the questions are all about.
