Default P601 code

Gotta p601 code showing which I think is a computer problem. Van still running but I am 1600 miles from home and would like to get back and fix it there. What are the chances it will make it home?

the chances of not getting home are greater for other things. in other words, run it. it seems that code for internal failure shows up for a lot of people randomly. I wonder if they are running on Windows based software. Just do a control-alt-delete on your vehicle and it just might fix itself

Welcome to DF
I have seen trucks with the same code and ran for a week and just fine, Thats not going say the van will be alright. Your chances are 50/50.

Thanks for your input. Yeah maybe I'll reboot it and head home. If it dies on the way I just hope it stops near a DQ or someplace good.

When I checked the codes on our van, this code came up. I'm a little confused as to which controller this refers to. If it's the PCM, the engine seems to be running ok except for some hesitation under some situations. If it's the TCM, the transmission is shifting ok except for an occasional somewhat abrupt shift.
Is this code like P1694 that shows up all the time?
The van does have 155k on it.

As you said, P1684 is the battery disconnect code which does always seem to be there. I'm just not sure which controller P601 is referring to although I'm guessing that it's the PCM.
