Default Cruise control not working (got the light, but "SET" not working)

2000 Caravan, base model. When I hit the "ON" button on my steering wheel I get the "CRUISE" light on my dash. But when I go to hit the "SET" button and then let off the gas like I normally would, nothing; it basically won't hold or set.

Is there a fuse or something else i should be looking for to fix this?

How do I do this? I'm not a mechanic, was hoping it was an easy fix, something I could do or check from my garage.

With the engine running, you pull the vacumn line off the servo and see if it sucks your finger in.

the plastic hose from the intake manifold attaches to the cruise control cable is the vacuum hose in question. if you can find the 2 cables going to the manifold, you're 1/2 way there.

doesn't it suck when people can't spell 'vacuum'?....lol
