hmm what do you think is the problem. I wonder if it's the output speed sensor or the instrument cluster?

I tested the cluster afew more times and watched the needle. After going to 100 then 115, on the way back to 20 it does skip alittle till it stops on a number, then the next time same thing it skips alittle till it stops, Sapporo, the van is not in motions so the output sensor is not in use.

right. see my point is you started this with thinking replacing the output and input speed sensor should be replaced. I directed you to doing some diagnosis. Now you're to the point you've eliminated the input and output speed sensors.

using good problem solving methods prevented you from just buying 2 un-necessary sensors.

now if you want to buy a used instrument cluster go to www.car-part.com

I didn't want to just come out and say you needed a speedometer, I wanted to use logic to break down exactly what was and wasn't wrong with the system.

I started with eliminating the input speed sensor because it has no effect on the speedo

Then I asked about transmission shifting.... that eliminated the output speed sensor and input speed sensor both.

IDK, if you can get one from a junkyard you can have it in your hand that day and not have to wait for someone to bring it to you. also if you have a problem, you can walk right back to them and if you have a good experiance, you've just made a connection for the next time you need a part, you have an instant souce.
