Default Bach up lites

OK so I am starting a new thread for this. I have tested the fuse under the dash and I have power, I tested pin #1 on the 10 pin connector at the transmission no power. So I am guessing its a wire problem?

seems that tizzy GAVE you exactly what you needed for diagnosis. go back to the post where you have the wiring diagram. always VERIFY everything before you just jump into comdeming any part. I would look to see what else is on that circuit, i'd make sure i have power at other points of the circuitry. it's actually more uncommon than common for a wire to just fail. I see more problems with connectors and terminal points.

Go back to the post that tizzy had posted, the one with picture. If #1 and #10 are suppose to have power at those wires, then i would apply 12volts to the wires,by using a jumper wire. By doing this, you will know if the TRS is working and see if you have back up lites.Did not leave the jumper wire in the connector. Then start tracing the open circuit. There are two connectors under the battery. One of those connector is for the transmission.Inspect them and also look at the color coded wires too.

Umm. what do the arrows above and below the 10a fuse indicate. I did make the back up liytes come on by jumping a wire from the battery to pin #6. Master Tech. I did try to jump the wires from pin 1 to 6 and 10 to 6 with no results, the ignition was on and thr transmission in reverse.

well I find two what looks like 10 pin connectors under my battery. The bottom one is corroded and looks like there is a wire that is cut from bouncing/rubbing against the post it was attached to at one time. So i feel over my head in all this. I think I need a mechanic.

"I think I need a mechanic."

I think someone stated that in your first post.

if you can read and follow a map, you can fix electrical problems
