Brake stoplight
My 2000 Caravan 3.3l has the left rear brake light out. The bulbs are fine b/c when I turn the the lights on they work. In the past I had to replace the stoplight switch behind the brake pedal. I figured that was my problem. I replaced it, but still not working. I assume it must be a relay or possibly a fuse but I need some direction on where to look. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Did you replace the brake lite bulb? If you did, you could have a bad socket or circuit board.Switch the right brake lite socket to the left side. If that works, then the socket is no good.
my jeep has a shared socket for the tail/brake lights
I noticed the brake light worked, but the tail light didnt',
I went ahead and bought all new bulbs for the back end (all were original 8year old with 120k on them so I figured I was due)
still the tail light didn't work, so I switched the socket for the tail/brake light with the backup light socket
and now all the lights work again, I guess that the sockets have 2 circuits in them and that the one circuit had fried leaving the one working,
any way it work, but I plan on picking up some new sockets for the bulbs, they are fairly cheap

Uhhh....I realize now that you point out that known fact Sap thanks for that. I'll check that out. Then I suppose after I check out that I'll move on to the more obscure, like the type of gas I'm using. haha. Seriously, thanks.
