2010 4.0L grand caravan still stalling...
well they replaced the wireless control module in our van this past saturday but forgot to tell us they needed both keys b/c they reporgram them at the same time...so we have one key that works and one that doesn't...and to top it all off we now have an oil leak!! they now have to replace the "oil cooler" but i think it the housing that the oil filter connects to...so we will see. i am glad to see and hear that others are having similar issues now...and not just us!!! my wife kinda wants to push the lemon law, i am trying to give the dealership a chance but i just don't know what to do any more...we are sitting at 75-7600 miles...and lemon law ends at 12K /12 months...
guys/gals, with the stalling issue, a new set of rotors and brakes on the rear end, and now needing a new oil cooler due to having an oil leak that covers the oil pan and the housing where the oil filter connects, a radio that likes to change channels occasionally, and all under 7000 miles on the odo...do you think we have a lemon?? would you try and use the lemon law?? let me know what you think?? i am at a loss...
"nomoredodge" is this in reference to all the motors for the vans or just particular ones?? how about years?? now they just replaced the wireless control module, would this also include the ignition module?? or is that a separte component?? thanks...
You got this info where?? Put up or shut up. Post it why don't ya? There are people posting here with real problems and they don't need some butt-hurt jerk getting them all riled up over assumptions and heresay. Just because some guy at some place told you something doesn't mean it's fact. I have the same if not more access to the info your "leasing company" has and I have no idea what you're referring to.

I wish I had more info to share but as stated earlier just go to the DOT site and conduct a search.
Too bad this company likes to keep all in the dark, icluding their techs

Just to update, this is in fact known and being recalled, some ask "why do they not recall this already ?" Chrysler, along with all manufacturers, like to have new parts "in dealerships" before announcing a recall to thousands.... if your Minivan is still stalling, it is more than likely the WIN module, this is where you stick the key... the issue is, the key "sticks" in the START position, this is hard to notice, but eventually, it lets loose and most times, blows by the "RUN" position, and goes into the "ACCY" position, therefore killing the engine. This can happen when sitting stil or going down the hwy at 70, when they key unsticks, thats is when it will occur. Delaers should be receiving revised parts shortly and then a recall will be launched. In the meantime, just m,ake sure the key returns to run, before taking off, should be OK then.
