Default 2004 Grand Caravan - Can't get Radiator Drain Valve Out

Anyone else had this problem? I know there's some sort of twist-so-far-then-pull method, but I'm not quite sure how it works. Is it 1/4 turn or 1/2 turn? When to pull? Ugh.........

It's somewhere around there. You always have to pull when turning, here's a picture of it, maybe that will help.

When i drain the cooling system, i just remove the lower radiator hose clamp on the lower tube. And remove the hose and let it drain.

I'm with master tech on this one. Just disconnect the lower radiator hose and let it drain. I'm always worried that I might "break" the drain valve.

Default Raiator Drain Plug

Agree, remove lower hose. The issue with the drain plug seems to be the rubber "O" ring and you usually destroy it when removing the plug.

That's why most of the guys at our shop replace the drain plug when they have to use it. Better safe than sorry.
