Unhappy '00 Grand Caravan Rear Blower Issues

My mechanic replaced the swtich thingy that controls the hot/cold air that blows through the rear vents. It's been less then a year and now the rear only blows non-a/c air. The A/C in the front is working great.

Is the switch thingy the root cause or is it something else? Is this a known issue? Is this someting I can replace myself? I'm trying to avoid having pay $$$ without knowing what the root cause is. Any suggesstions?

Thank you,
tsenior

up in the DIY sticky, there is a cut and paste from the service manual for doing an actuator test / calibration of the hvac system. Try that and see if you get any codes. If you have a bad actuator it should show up with the test.

Tizzy,
What/where is the DIY Sticky? Is the acutator the motor that controls heat/cold air? Will it show me a 'Check Engine' light or do I need a computer when I do this?

Thanks,
-T
