My wifes has a 96 Grand Caravan with a 3.8 engine. The check engine light came on and I need help with the code. First, Autozone ran the codes and told me there was a turbine issue and a first gear error. However, I didn't notice any transmission issues. I cleared the codes, but the light came on within a couple miles. I went back to Autozone and they told me there were no codes. I did the key on test to get codes both times the check engine light came on and came up with 12-21-55. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

 

do a google search for chrysler diagnostic code 21. you'd be amazed at what you find. it took me 10 seconds to do this for you to find 21 is related to oxygen sensor, which makes sense with how the light comes on in a few minutes. Oxygen sensors take a little time to come online after a start.

Code 21 is the upsteam o2 stays center.

Yes there is.You have an upsteam and one downsteam o2 sensor.
