Default 2005 Dodge caravan 3.3 engine swap

Hi, I have searched the forum and i can't find a definitive answer.

i have a 2005 Dodge caravan 3.3 with 200 000 miles, the transmission is about to die so i spotted a few wrecked 2001-2004 caravans with the same engine/trans. setup. I understand that between 2001-2004 and 2005-2007 there is a big change with the ecm/pcm etc..

the big question is, can a 2001-2004 engine/trans. work properly in a 2005 van? do i have to swap all the sensors, swap everything that have a sensor/electrical connection from the 2005?

i'd like to swap the whole engine/trans. together no mix and match of part if possible.

thank you.

Welcome to DF
2001 thru 2007 are the same body style. Same engine and transmission. Hope this helps.

EGR is different 01 - 04 and 05 and newer, you may need to swap that.
