Mechanic Can't Find Problem - Suggestions?
About a month ago, the ck engine light in our 2006 Dodge Caravan came on. Then started having trouble starting. First start of the day, no problems. After that, took 3-5 cranks to start.
Had checked by mechanic, code showed that crankshaft sensor was bad. Replaced. Did not correct problem and before we could get back into the shop, van started stuttering/jerking when accelerating. When we let off the gas, van was able to catch up and continue on with ease. Trouble starts again with each stop - but engine never died.
Returned to shop. Mechanic checked everything, including flexplate. Can find no problems. The codes now showing are P0016 and P0335.
Mechanic said problem is probably in the computer, need to take it to a Dodge dealership. Looking for second opinions.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Do you have 2.4,3.3 or 3.8 engine? I do have the test for both codes on pdf files. If you or anyone else wants them, just send me a pm with your email address and i'll send them to you. These pdf files are what the dealer uses.
