Default I am getting the same thing on my 04 Dodge Caravan

I just added some fluids because it was low. It also looks like I have a leak somewhere. I've been getting a noise for almost a year now coming from where the belts are at. I replaced my serpentine belt, idler pulley, and belt tensioner and i am still getting the noise squealing and rattling. I am wondering if it might be my water pump that needs replacing. Can the leak and noise be coming from the water pump?

Felix

Sure it could. Remove the fan belt and see if you hear the noise anymore. Could also be the alt too.

I am having the same issue. Thermostat is working. Both heater hoses are hot so there is flow through the core. The radiator is full, no recent leaks. Has anyone had problems with the heater controls on the dash? I suspect that is the problem.

When you move controls from hot to cold or cold to hot can you hear the blend door move. It is under the dash you might have to get down on the passenger side floor to hear it. Diagram is on previous page.

Took it to Dodge stealership for diag. They found the blend door is not working & wanted $1500 to fix it. I complained because it only has 37,000 miles on it. The warrantee expired at 36,000. They called corprate & they agreed to fix it for a $250 deductable. Whew!
