Default Fail to crank.

Hey guys hoping someone has some insite here. I have an 03 sport edition that was running perfect, no known issues, on check engine light, all systems go. turned my van off for five minutes tonight after do errands all day, lots of starts and shut-offs, and now it won't start. All accessories work, dash lights-up normal except now check engine light is on and the van will not even turn over. you can here full pump and accessory relay. starter relay fails to engage when you turn the key. Did the dash self check to get error codes, 400.1 (egr valve failure) is the only code. Just had the ecm and battery replaced three weeks ago for this same problem, only there was three other codes then that I can't remember other than 100.1. Any help in this matter would be awesome as I don't want to look like an total ******* when I go chew-out the dealership that did the repair.

I also agree you could have a starter problem. But you need to do some test, before you start replacing parts. Check the starter for power and ground. And maybe tap the starter with a hammer, while someone trys to start. And post back your findings.

yeah not a starter issue. the relay doesn't engage at all. switched the accessory's relay with the starter relay and still didn't engage but accessories work with both relays.

BFD you haven't tested the starter or the rest of the starting circuitry.

The only peroblem you could have and this is without any waring,is the immobilizer has cause the ignition to lock up. using a no crank.

Dealer would need to replace the immobilizer, because there is a key code that is programed into the immobilizer by the dealer. That way it can start and run.
