Default 2005 GC SXT DVD changer issues

Hi All,

Just bought this minivan and am seeing the blinking lights on the front of the 6-disc DVD changer - 3 right lights floowed by 3 left lights constantly while the car is running. Cannot load or eject DVD's and top stereo says ERROR when I change mode to DVD. I have search and read tons of people complaining about the very same issue but haven't found any comments saying what the fix is. So, does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix? With the number of complaints about this changer it's obvious it is a POS, but want to know if I can fix or not. Thanks.

Welcome to DF
The radio system has a error problem and maybe locked up. Disconnect the battery for a few mins. And then see what happens. If it stays the same, Then you need to pull the cpdes out of the radio and post your findings.

No luck with the battery disconnect. Was disconnected for 10 mins or so and still get same symptom. How does one pull the radio codes if that is the problem? Rather not replace at $300 if I dont need to. Appreciate the help.

You will need a scanner that can pull codes out of the BCM/radio system.
